Leadership Camp Themes: Descriptions
Session 3: Respect – “R.E.S.P.E.C.T. find out what it means to me!”
June 30 – July 3 (4-Day, Reduced Price Camp: Friday, July 4th Off)
The focus of the week will be on respecting others differences and opinions. We’ll talk about the damage caused by gossip, demeaning behavior, and bullying. A fun action packed field trip to Laser Tag will put these skills to the test. We’ll focus on what it means to be a good sport, win or lose. We will also take a trip to Boulders Climbing to put their team building strength to the test.
Respect in Action: The group will create a Wooden Sign for the garden area. They’ll work together to choose the material, letters, and colors and put it up for everyone to admire.
Leadership Action Focus: On Thursday, our group will travel to Middleton Sports Bowl where they’ll teach the younger camps about good sportsmanship.
Leadership skills: We’ll focus on the many aspects of respect; being polite, asking permission, speaking truthfully, practicing forgiveness, and standing up for others.
